Don (a.k.a. Donny) Christenson grew up in Duxbury, MA and has spent countless hours on the waters in and around Duxbury Bay since he was a child. He has extensive knowledge and experience with boats and is a ‘go-to’ for boat-related questions for anyone who knows him.

Don started servicing moorings in Duxbury Harbor and surrounding anchorages in Duxbury Bay in 2012. Don relaunched the business as Mattakeesett Moorings in the spring of 2020 and services 300+ moorings in and around Duxbury Harbor.

At the start of the 2023 summer season, Mattakeesett expanded to include launch services. Many thanks to both the Harbormaster and the town for their support! Mattakeesett services customers in the Snug Harbor Deep Water and Snug Harbor Basin Flats anchorages with two launches, Twig and Bender, operating from the town dock at the Duxbury Town Pier. Launch service runs 7 days per week from Memorial Day to Labor Day and on weekends through September.
